We are now looking for a Polymer Engineer to join our Polymer specialist team within our Research & Development organization.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a member in our Polymer specialist team you will play a key role in our development projects.
You will assist the projects and sourcing in:
• Plastic injection molding simulations
• Part design reviews with process optimization, part
properties and tooling design in mind
• Material selection
• Evaluation of new materials and production processes
• Trouble shooting
• Evaluation and development of suppliers
• Internal education
Axis and our business is growing rapidly which makes your everyday work here increasingly interesting - and more challenging.
The role includes travel 5-20 working days/year.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an open minded and driven individual. You are willing to share your ideas, knowledge and experience on a daily basis in order to further develop our creative and open environment. A genuine technical interest, good communication skills and an easygoing attitude are vital.
We believe you have a master's degree or equal knowledge in Polymer Engineering and relevant experience within mechanical design and product development. Specific experiences from plastic injection molding simulations, tooling design, polymer processing and polymer material knowledge are essential skills.
Experiences of silicon rubber materials and in measurement systems, quality control and 3D-CAD are highly valued
THE POLYMER SPECIALIST TEAM
At the Polymer specialist team we help and support other engineers within polymer related questions. Besides the work with plastic injection simulations we are setting up workshops and seminars in order to increase the overall knowledge within the area. We monitor the market for new materials, new production processes and for price development. The team are also responsible for setting up and maintaining tests together with our Hardware-QA.
