Do you want to take part in the development of new cross-linking polymer technology? Are you an expert within polymer chemistry and polymer characterization and are you are interested in working in an entrepreneurial company with global potential? If your answer is yes, you may be the candidate we are looking for!
As a Polymer Development Engineer you will be working with the formulation and development of Nexams additives for cross-linking of polymers. You will be involved in the entire product development process, from literature studies and cross-linker design to polymer and material characterization. The work will involve the modification of existing recipes depending on various prerequisites such as the polymers chemical and thermal properties. To tackle these challenges Nexam is equipped with a state-of-the art polymer characterization laboratory, including micro-extrusion, rheometry, calorimetry as well as other analytical instruments. This is an innovative and practical role where you will be spending a large part of your days working experimentally in the laboratory. As Polymer Development Engineer you will also be responsible of keeping your self and the company updated regarding new technology and competitor analysis regarding cross-linkers and chemical modification of plastics and polymers.

• PhD focusing on polymer chemistry.
• Extensive knowledge within polymer chemistry and polymer characterization
• Experience of working with polymer development.
• Experience of working with analysis of polymer materials and polymer reactions.
• You should enjoy working practically in the laboratory and have a broad knowledge of methods and instruments.
• Knowledge of chemometrics is an advantage.
• You are fluent in English in speech and writing. It is an advantage if you also master Swedish and German.
As a person you are curious and have the courage to try new ideas and methods. You have an experimental approach and like to practically test your ideas in the laboratory, independently or as a part of a team. You are analytical with high abilities to technical problem solving.
