The mission of our Policy & Regulatory Affairs team is to define the political and regulatory agenda for our Renewables business and to actively engage with our external stakeholders. In close cooperation with our Strategy team, the Policy & Regulatory Affairs function builds a deep understanding of our regulatory environment, creates transparency for our businesses, defines our positions in regulatory discussions and actively lobbies for a favorable market environment.
We are now looking for a Policy & Regulatory Officer. You will participate in formulating the EON Climate & Renewables (EC&R) policy agenda focusing on Sweden, Norway and Denmark by developing our positions in close cooperation with our businesses (wind offshore for Baltic Sea projects and wind onshore in the Nordic countries).
This includes tasks such as:
Drive communication and lobbying activities. Engage and nurture relationships with external stakeholders such as ministries and industry associations on national and regional levels.
Support the development functions in regional stakeholder management tasks.
Prepare content for conference presentations / panel discussions / other external stakeholder meetings for the EC&R Board and senior executives.
Monitor regional developments in relevant ministries, NGOs and other organizations, incl. regionally-anchored political agenda.
Identify and report regulatory market risks and work with the businesses to understand them well.
The role is located in Malmö.
We think that you have excellent business, economics, legal or similar (preferably post-graduate) degree. As a person you are Independent, driven and solution-oriented working attitude.
To be successful in the role you hold:
At least 5-7 years' experience in policy and regulatory affair.
Knowledge of political institutions and industry associations, ideally with a focus on the renewables energy sector and an established political network in Sweden.
Good skills planning, organizing and coordinating different tasks in parallel and open to working in a fast-paced, international environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Swedish. Additional language skills (e.g. Norwegian or Danish) are a plus.
