Who are we?
We are the organization responsible for defining and developing the next generation of HMI (Human Machine Interface) that will be in Volvo Group's transport solutions. We are talking about instrument cluster, infotainment, driver user experience, camera-based systems and much more. We belong to the Driver Interaction & Infotainment organization, part of Vehicle Technology within Global Trucks Technology. We are now looking for a Product owner with expertise in text localization to join our cross functional organization, Driver Interaction & Infotainment. As the text localization Product Owner you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of strategies to ensure that our products are culturally and linguistically adapted for diverse international markets.
Who are you?
To take on this challenge successfully, we believe you will possess the following skills and competencies.
Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in the software development industry.
Deep understanding of text localization process, tools, and technologies.
Strong project management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional teams.
Experience with localization and best practices.
Understanding of software development, technologies, platforms (Linux, Android) and various programming languages is a merit.
Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
Key responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize localization requirements as well as secure quality.
Lead the end-to-end localization process from planning to execution and release.
Manage relationships with translation vendors and ensure high quality, culturally and relevant translations.
Define and track key localization metrics to measure effectiveness and identify areas of improvements.
Lead explorations within new technologies for enhancing quality and processes.
