About us
The Base Software department at Vehicle Propulsion is a new area to be developed inhouse. It will become an own ART** in September and will play a central role for Volvo Cars being one of the most successful players within SW development for Electric Vehicles. We are responsible for delivering Base Software in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best and most innovated functions to the market and continuously evolve our Software platform.
The teams in BSW ART is agile team consisting of enthusiastic people with a mix of gender, ages, and nationalities. High focus on collaboration and communication within the group and it is good cohesion between the group members. New members always get warm welcome, support, and acceptance.
About you
You should be passionate about development of embedded systems within vehicle electrification and electronic. You are devoted to driving engineering challenges all the way from business case and concept stage to mass production.
You have senior background within embedded systems field and is a natural initiator that commits to deliver the Team 's deliverables with high precision on quality. You are a team player that contributes and bring out the best from your fellow team members and work actively to increase your work network.
What you will do
As a Product Owner (PO) you will be working closely together with the Team, Team Manager, Scrum Master, PM* of the ART** and stakeholder in other ARTs to maximize the value for our customers. You own the tech in backlog, Vision and Roadmap for the team and keep the future horizon to identify upcoming Enabler work and collaborate together with System and Solution Architect to assist with execution of enabling future Unique Selling Point (USP) functions connected to the BSW Technical road map. You should maximize the value-added work by owning and deciding upon priorities in the program backlog from a technical, time-to-market and business perspective.
The teams also secure and develop manual and automated tests based on requirements, as well as non-functional tests, which are performed on HIL and our own developed test bench called HILding.
Your profile and knowledge
* Master of Science or Bachelor of Science within physics, electrical engineering, applied mathematics or similar
* Minimum of 6-10 years of relevant job experience from Embedded SW
* Debugging/testing embedded software systems and automation
* Leading others in an advanced technological area and comfortable to be in forefront for such an area and take full responsibility for it.
* AUTOSAR BSW
* C coding and Python coding
* SCRUM/agile development
* Advanced level in the English language and be comfortable in explaining/teaching or understanding complexed solutions.
* Driver 's license
