Long story short. We at Volvo Group IT are in middle of a transition journey implementing new ways of working to improve our efficiency and precision to provide the IT services & solutions that bring the most value for Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) business. Our team is delivering the core of PLM solutions for Volvo CE RnD, operations and aftermarket teams and the Volvo Autonomous Solutions.
The opportunity
We would like to invite you to join our team as a jack of all trades for an application called PTC Creo Illustrate. You would be working as technical leader of the application, securing end user installations, functionality and support etc.
Your normal day could be starting by looking at the backlog for further enhancements/tricky problem in the solution, discussing with the business stakeholder about the further details of the requirements, spending some time thinking about possible solution and securing whether we can get the functionality from the vendor out of the box, or need to do some configuration or customization to provide the end user happiness. Later the day you would be talking with our release train engineer about possible upgrades and dependencies to other closely related solutions and when we could be deploying those for end users.
You would be part of an agile team working with overall PLM solutions. The end user community is global, and your own colleagues are in Europe, Asia and US.
It would be beneficial if you have already worked with illustrations, maybe some CAD engineering or why not even method development within the area. Having hands of experience of system administration of illustration/CAD tools would be icing on the cake.
It would not hurt either if you are good with people, can understand their technical concerns and translate those into solution proposals (may be technical or methods).
