hela Sverige You will be part of HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) within the Power Grids division in Ludvika, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This ABB developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems.
HVDC LightTM was developed by ABB and is in hot demand on the market today. The technology is particularly suitable for power systems where overhead power lines cannot be built or where power systems need boosting. HVDC Light is also used to connect offshore structures, such as platforms and wind farms and offers a good answer to today's demand for environment friendly solutions.
As our PLM Specialist, you will be provided with a key role and the opportunity to contribute in developing and maintaining a system for our wide array of products. We use CAD/PLM to design anything and everything from mechanical details to entire sites. Our team consists of 5 ECAD specialists (Engineering Base) and 7 MCAD/PLM specialists in NX and Teamcenter.
You will be responsible for:
• Business analysis for translation of business demands into concrete, state-of-the-art IT solutions for Product Lifecycle Management
• Plan and project lead NX/Teamcenter system revisions and implement those with quality and according to time plan
• Administration, installation and configuration of Teamcenter
• Training, problem solving and support of Teamcenter
• Participate in power user meetings and NX/Teamcenter operational lead group meetings to present solutions, provide status of development and get feedback from business.
Your main stakeholders will be global users of Teamcenter and NX in Sweden, India, China, US, Germany and Poland, as well as business managers on these sites.
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree specializing in mechanics, or equivalent. To successfully take on this position you also need strong technical skills, solid knowledge in Teamcenter and at least five years of experience from adapting and using the system on an advanced level. Several years' of experience from CAD/PLM, especially Teamcenter, as well as from installation and configuration of the latter is equally important. Furthermore, you also need knowledge in XML, SQL server and experience from process analysis as well as data model design using Teamcenter.
Fluency in English is required, whereas Swedish and other additional languages are highly valued. Experience from working as Mechanical Designer or Administrator with knowledge in PLM systems, especially Teamcenter as well as knowledge in VR (Virtual Reality), BIM (Building information modelling) and civil design tools is qualifying.
Other important qualities are your ability to cooperate with your colleagues and skills in documenting installations and creating guidelines. Finally, you are accurate and organized as well as pedagogical and confident in your role.
