We believe in the potential of board games as social & creative tools. We design and publish board games in several areas, one of which is mainly making "heavier" historical & scientific board games in the "hobby" category. We value a link to reality/science/history not only as a backdrop but also as a basis for game mechanic design. In our games we strive to achieve unscripted narrative experiences generated by the content and the players' minds and interaction as they play. As we are growing our business we are now looking for an experienced and talented Playtest and Community Coordinator for these heavier style board games.
Main responsibilities
Focused and structured testing of games. Online and IRL.
Make play through videos of our games.
Facilitate production of digital versions of our games (TTS, Tabletopia and Vassal)
Community coordinator (answer comments on BGG/Discord/Reddit/Slacks and other Forums)
IT Support at our office in Stockholm as well as some of our online services
Keep close communication and collaboration with the rest of the team
Work closely with the designers and 2D-artist to find ways to improve the quality of our games.
Be able to teach the games to customers at fairs and on digital platforms.
Skills and qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
A strong passion for playing and understanding games
Experience of testing board games
Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in arranging conventions, organizing gaming events, tournaments and demonstrations.
Community management experience; working online and offline to cultivate local, national, and global gaming communities.
Collaborate with Ion's Directors to ensure positive communication and problem solving between disciplines.
Great communication skills, both in writing and verbally (English is required, Spanish is a strong merit).
A willingness to learn Swedish if this is not your native language.
A sharp eye for noticing visual and logical mistakes that might not be visible at first glance.
Ability to work on site at our office in Stockholm Sweden
