Playscan is the first tool worldwide, that offers players a way to keep track of their gambling behaviour, both in terms of their own perception of gambling, and an analysis based on their actual gaming data. The analysis gives the players an indication of their gambling behaviour today. Furthermore Playscan proactively helps the player to have a healthy relationship with games by offering an analysis that also predicts the players' future gambling habits. This gives a prognosis of their gambling behaviour, it shows the users' tendency to fall into unhealthy behaviour, and gives the users a way of changing course, into a new, healthier, direction.
Playscan is now looking to hire a Web developer / Interaction Designer interested in product development, with a main focus on GUI and end-user communication, as well as project management.

Publiceringsdatum2012-11-20Dina arbetsuppgifterIn our product we use statistical models that represents levels of gambling addiction risk. These models are designed in collaboration with psychologists and they are implemented in our software. The results are presented through different channels, such as web, mobile, print and more, which will be the main focus of this role. In our client projects we also do some adaptations of our graphical interfaces, which will also be included in this role. We sell our software as a complete solution, so a strong product focus is required. This role will also handle project management, so experience from leading projects is also required.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
Mandatory technical requirements:
• Web / Mobile development (Javascript, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
• Thorough knowledge of Unix / Linux
• Git
• Project management experience
• Master of Science degree, preferably in CS, IT
Additional preferable knowledge;
• BASH / Shell-script (awk, sed, coreutils, etc.)
• Python programming
• LaTeX
• Ruby on rails
• Open source project experience

Playscan AB is a subsidiary to Svenska Spel, the Swedish governmental owned gaming operator, located in central Gothenburg. We are 10 employees and most of us have a background from Chalmers. The Playscan project stated in 2006 and the product Playscan was first launched at
www.svenskaspel.se in june 2007. Playscan AB was acquired by Svenska Spel in March 2010. Playscan is developed in a cooperation between Playscan AB and SiLabs (formerly Spelinstitutet).
