Purpose

As a Player Growth Manager you'll lead efforts to acquire and reactivate players through marketing. You'll be responsible for ideating, building, running, and analyzing campaigns that bring in new players or reactivate existing ones

Role details

You'll build our strategies to drive player acquisition and improve retention through marketing activity, collaborating closely with the Product Owner and Product Marketing Manager for each title along with other key stakeholders. You will work on multiple game projects developed by both self-published divisions; Expansive Worlds and Systemic Reaction.

You will be responsible for leading acquisition campaigns across a number of channels, including programmatic, social and various other platforms. You'll work closely with agency partners and cross functional teams in the execution of these strategies.

Additionally, this role will also define our relationship marketing function to ensure we interact with the players at the right moments throughout their journey with our games to improve retention and reduce churn.

You will be responsible for interpreting data and creating actionable insights for the marketing team and development teams.

This position serves Systemic Reaction and Expansive Worlds equally whilst operationally reporting to the Head of Marketing, Expansive Worlds.

Responsibilities

• Strategize and execute performance-based player acquisition campaigns across various channels for a number of games from Systemic Reaction & Expansive Worlds.
• Validate player acquisition tactics through A/B testing and other research.
• Analyze the performance of our campaigns and adjust accordingly to meet CPA goals.
• Report on performance of our player growth campaigns and ensure stakeholders are able to make informed decisions.
• Manage the partnership with performance marketing agencies.
• Level up our relationship marketing efforts and build out the strategy to ensure activities are in place throughout the entire player lifecycle.
• Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends and potential new channels and strategies.

Requirements

• Proven track record of implementing successful performance marketing and/or relationship marketing campaigns in the video game industry or similar field.
• In-depth knowledge of paid marketing channels and tools, including paid search, retargeting, social network advertising and content distribution and placement networks.
• Hands-on experience in handling marketing budgets and forecasting/reporting results.
• Outstanding communication, presentation and relationship building skills.
• Strategic thinker with great analytical expertise.
• Works well in a matrixed organization and is a team player.
• Experience in Marketing Automation and CRM strategy.
• Passionate about and play video games.
• Adaptable to change and flexible in approach.

Desired

• Degree level qualified in a marketing or related field.
• Previous experience leading both performance marketing and relationship marketing in a similar organization.
• Previous experience from marketing within the videogames industry.
• Experience working in an international environment.
• Interest in action and/or outdoor video games.
