Job Description
You will join a diverse team, with some juniors and some seniors, a perfect storm for learning and sharing! You will develop standardized components for a secure, reliable, and highly available platform, while always keeping an eye on our tech radar to adopt new components, technology, and tooling. Also, you develop automation toolings and preassembled configurations to make a better developer experience for the users of our standardized components. You will be remarkably close to the architecture team and can influence platform evolution. You take the initiative and drive to evolve the platform's infrastructure to support our rapid business growth and compliance needs. You will collaborate on building a modern microservice-based system running on Kubernetes in AWS (Amazon Web Services). You will improve deployment automation following the principles for Infrastructure as Code and enhance platform monitoring and alerting to scale the platform to multiple markets and millions of users worldwide. Like always work on solidifying our security posture is included.
The goal is to move towards providing an extensible platform for numerous markets and partners, so we want you and the rest of the Platform Enablement team to focus on scaling the existing platform and modernizing it to handle wider use cases from around the world..
Qualifications and personal qualities
• Curiosity, being analytic with a passion for problem-solving, and good communicator
• some hands-on experience with any programing language and software development
• some hands-on experience with AWS services
• some hands-on experience with Kubernetes and building CI/CD pipelines
• We are an international organization so fluency in English is required
Environment and tools
Since the pandemic, the tech team has been working remotely, and the team intends to stay remote; however, we do like to go to the office once every few weeks to see each other in three dimensions and run some workshops. Daily we use Slack, Google Meet, GitHub, and Favro to organize our work and communicate. We also offer you a laptop and phone and any other office equipment you might need. We don't dictate what software you use to get your work done, so you get to pick the OS and tools that best suit you.
