Axis is looking for the right person to fill an opening position as a Platform Coordinator Engineer at our Firmware Platform department.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
The Firmware Platform team within our Research and Development organization is responsible for the Firmware Platform used by all Axis network video products. Our main focus is to coordinate all platform activities and processes as well as providing efficient platform tools and infrastructure.
As part of the team you will share a varied number of tasks with your colleagues such as:
• Integration and release work
• Configuration Management
• Run automated tests
• Support the platform project manager in coordinating different platform activities
• Constantly work with improving our processes, tools and working methods
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an open-minded and driven software developer with a genuine interest of working with integration and release management.
Suitable candidates have a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent. Preferably you master at least one of the script languages shell, perl or python and have some experience from Linux and embedded system programming. It is an advantage if you have good programming skills in C and are able to lead minor activities.
You need to be familiar with the process of integrating code changes into a platform, run automated tests and releasing new firmware to our customers. It's important that you are able to work in a well structured way and are able to use scripting to simplify our daily work.
Since team work is a crucial part of Axis success we believe it is important that you function well in a team environment, developing through your colleagues, being able to explain your work to the team and contributing to a good and productive working environment.
Very good communication skills in English (oral/written) are required.
