FBSciences Europe is seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager with 10+ years of experience to join our team near Laholm SE. The primary focus for this person will be working with a team to help lead day-to-day operations and maintenance of water treatment systems, scheduling and monitoring of production and production personnel, general operation of the facilities and ongoing reporting and collaborating with Managing Director, Production Manager, global operations and science teams. The Plant Operations Manager would also manage issues regarding water and wastewater management, including reviewing pertinent laws and regulations, permit negotiation, and work with the team to design and implement expansion of the facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Serves as a project team manager and sets and communicates production schedules on a weekly, and if needed, more frequent basis.
Leads weekly production and safety meetings.
Troubleshoots and maintains systems as needed. Ensures a proactive and routine maintenance schedule.
Maintains chemical inventory and monitors processing systems on a daily basis
Supports and collaborated with scientists, management, plant engineers and other global employees in the study and development of new processes, improvements and various environmental projects.
Ensure compliance with department safety, product safety, fire protection, and any other Company polices/procedures, and housekeeping programs.
Manages, monitors, and reports on production and inventory and shipments to the USA and around the globe.
Knowledge, Skills Requirements
• 10+ years related experience
• Demonstrated experience in leadership with strong interpersonal communication skills
• Experience implementing a wide range of change management and process improvement activities, based upon broader organizational goal
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management, staff, employees, vendors, customers, and general public
• Results driven and innovative with the ability to develop long-term plans and evaluate team productivity and accomplishments
• Highly organized
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills (English and Swedish)
• Some minimal travel may be required to other company sites globally
• Proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to interact with Federal and Local government agencies and officials
• Ability to work additional and/or nonstandard office hours as required
• Basic chemistry understanding
Skills with piping system layouts, valve locations, fittings, etc. are a plus but not required.
Educational Requirements
