Let us describe the challenge we offer

We are now looking for the Manager of the Planning and PMO team, within the Digital Strategy & Transformation domain. The domain is primarily focused on improving effect and efficiency in the Digital organization by both strategic directions, transformation and supporting efficient operations.

The team 's responsibility is managing regular Product planning ceremonies and support the intake of new initiatives. It is responsible for Digital 's Program Management Office that coordinates all larger initiative pre-studies, cross domain initiatives and other project management, as requested. It is also responsible for coaching all domains and teams to transform our agile way of working and continuously evolve it, including lean project methodologies when applicable.

What you'll do

The manager role of the team is critical to improve the effect and efficiency in the entire digital organization. The main areas of responsibility are ensuring Digital align in focus and prioritization via the cross-domain intake and prioritization process. Managing our portfolio of programs, projects and initiatives. Improving our agile ways of working and coaching the team resources, both employees and consultants, to develop and achieve great results.
You will be also accountable for:

• Forward-leaning participation in regular meetings with business stakeholder or business strategy teams to look ahead for prioritization needs. Analyze long term business strategy implications on digital roadmaps together with Heads of domains and roadmap leads
• Planning and execution of the meetings needed to facilitate the initiative intake and prioritization process across domains. Including reviewing and improving the process
• Preparing qualitative presentation material for decision making in business prioritization boards and different project steering groups
• Secure quality deliverables in pre-studies and projects under team responsibility
• Together with the agile coach ensure efficient ways of working are aligned across the domains to improve cross domain communication and work. Also strive for always improving communication "bottom-up" and "top-down".
• Evaluate the perceived value of the team from stakeholders, find ways of measuring the impact and efficiency of the team
• Proactively and hands on support team deliveries in periods of peak workloads, overlook quality of work, challenge status quo and coach team to find areas of improvements
• Managerial leader and coaching the team members in developing and delivering according to Polestar's Performance Management Process and Performance Improvement Process etc.
• Establish a network of partners and freelances to be able to scale capacity and expertise on a short notice to meet demand from organization in areas like project management, business management consultancy etc.
• Close collaboration with Head of Domains and Operations Controller to secure financial input and alignment for roadmap changes
• Process owner for digitals internal ways of working processes

You posses good understanding of the dynamics both around in-house development organizations and commercial partners.

To be successful in this role, we believe you have:

• Master's degree of relevant education in Business Administration, Computer Science, or similar
• Experience from similar role and hands-on experience in successfully facilitating and leading big room planning/Product Increment ceremonies or similar
• Deep knowledge and understanding of lean and agile principles
• Several years of practical experience in some of the most commonly used frameworks and practices, such as Scrum, DevOps and Kanban
• Successful experience in methodology development and change management
• Proven track record in program portfolio planning and execution
• Ideally experience from agency side with Management Consultant related deliveries to paying customers. Experience of being responsible for growing Management Consultant related business on international accounts and achieving repeat sales
• Long experience from coaching and mentoring consultants and project managers
• Experienced and appreciated manager of teams
• Deep understanding of the steering mechanisms of large corporations and to achieve results
• Deep understanding of a large product oriented digital organization
• Strong analytical skills and ability to create and communicate impactful decisions support and reports
