Presentation
We are looking for a PKPD (Pharmacokinetics - Pharmacodynamics) scientist to work with simulation and modelling in a permanent placement in Södertälje.
Publiceringsdatum2012-01-12Dina arbetsuppgifterYou will provide projects with understanding and integration of the correlation between in-vitro and in-vivo ADME properties and the relationship between pharmacokinetics/toxicokinetics and pharamcodynamic responses, including biomarkers for mechanism of action.
Your major responsibilities will include:
• deliver the preclinical and translational PKPD work in projects from target validation to life cycle management
• design preclinical and forward / backward translational PKPD and TKPD studies and report results to project teams
• deliver drug-drug interaction predictions, risk assessments to project teams and regulatory report
• calculate safety margins and make recommendations and predictions / simulations on human dose and exposure together with the clinical pharmacologist / pharmacometrician
• ensure preclinical PKPD and TKPD understanding and implementation of the biomarker strategy in projects before embarking on clinical studies
• etc.
The following software products will be your working environment: Phoenix WinNonLin, NONMEM, Berkeley Madonna and R. Knowledge of other programs like Monolix, Pirana, S-plus and/or Matlab are advantageous.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
Our candidate has a strong background in science. A PhD in pharmacology combined with experience of the software and languages mentioned above is ideal, but similar experiences from adjacent fields may also be of interest. An extraordinary sense for computer science and programming and experience of complex modelling and simulation are substantial. Since this role includes close work with scientist from different projects, team working and networking skills will be of great importance. If you already have modelling and simulation competence, or a background in bio-mathematical modeling, quantitative systems biology, applied mathematics, engineering, pharmacokinetcs or statistics you might be the person that we are looking for. Even if you lack the biological/medical background, but have relevant computational / mathematical skills, we look forward to your application.
