hela Sverige Saab is looking for an experienced pilot with the qualities and pre-requisites to become a future Test Pilot within Saab, Special Mission Flight Test Organization.
Your role
Depending of Your background as a Military or Civilian Aviator, we expect that You together with Your basic piloting job can ascend to contribute as a Nominated Person (NP) within our different National and EASA Approvals.
You will initially fly either the Saab 2000, Lear 35 or the Bombardier Global 6000. The objective is, depending on Your background, to best prepare You for a stellar 12-month Category 1 Test Pilot course on one of the internationally recognized and EASA-approved Test Pilot Schools.
Previous aeronautical engineering skills or degree is meritorious.
Your profile
Minimum eligibility requirements are based on possession of the appropriate EASA pilot certificates and/or appropriate military ratings, meeting the applicable flight hour requirements and possession of the knowledge and skills required for the position. You may therefore have all, or part of, the following skill set:
• CPL
• ATPL (A)
• Valid Class 1 Medical
• Valid Military Fixed Wing or Transport Pilot rating
• Bachelor/Master of Science degree
• Language skills besides being fluent in English and Swedish
• Documented hand-flying skills (Military/Glider towing/Sky diving/Crop dusting)
This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
What you will be a part of
You will work within the Saab Flight Operations Department and on a regular basis fly within one or more of our branches Corporate Flight or Special Flight Operations.
Our Corporate jets, based in Linköping, fly worldwide within our AOC/NCC approvals. The departments aerial target services, based in Nyköping, provide low and medium level target towing services as well as calibration flights for airport navigation aides in a pan-European context.
With Your professional aviation background, You are expected to be well suited for either of these operations. Your position requires a flexible mindset and good adaptability. The position includes work away from home base on a regular basis.
The unit is part of the Business Area Support & Services.
