You have sound understanding of concepts and procedures in own discipline and a good knowledge in related disciplines. Likely to be specialized in a specific technical area. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to recommend improvement of products, services and technical processes within own and related teams.Can Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related. Solves complex problems; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment.
The PI Engineer applies electrical and mechanical theory and knowledge to test, repair, and modify vehicles and equipment. The PI engineer shall conduct deep troubleshooting of systems and equipment to identify root cause of failures and integration issues, and identify/define containment and sustainable solution, with support of core product engineers. The PI Engineer shall analyse performance data from instrumentation and Bombardier tools such as Maximo & Orbita to promptly isolate source of issues and defects. The PI Engineer shall ensure that safety is enforced in all steps leading toward solution and during execution.
Your Responsibilities:
• Perform trouble shooting and repair replace on train according to work orders
• Instruct and directs technicians in servicing and repairing
• Managing technical investigations
• Manage field data reporting process
• Advises management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product enhancements
• Support validation of maintenance documentation
• Support delivery and validation of special tools
Your Profile:
• Demonstrates sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills.
• Works independently through the application of acquired knowledge, precedent and judgment based upon standard procedures
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
• Provide full engineering support on portion of larger/several projects or assignments
• Proficiency in English, written and oral
Qualifications
• Technician degree, Engineering degree preferred
• Typically minimum 3-5 years relevant experience
• Railway vehicle function knowledge
• Advanced computer skills ex in Microsoft Office.
