Do you want to work in an international environment with cutting edge mobile phone technology?
As a test engineer you will work in the development phase closely together with the development team to bring the physical layer into operation, running on the mobile phone hardware. For this work you will develop test software that both interacts with the physical layer software and with base station simulator test equipment. You need a broad system and architecture knowledge, skills in working with test equipment in a lab environment and a deep understanding of the low level procedures in a mobile phone and how it communicates with a base station.
The work is very stimulating and the daily work consists of:
studying internal design documentation
studying WCDMA procedures
test analysis
creation of test specifications
developing test software and scripts
testing new features together with the development team
analyzing results
fault analysis and troubleshooting of errors
where the focus will be on test execution, analysis and troubleshooting. The work is carried out using test instruments such as base station simulators, signal generators and signal analyzers.
Competence:
Master of Science degree in a relevant field
A minimum of 2 years work experience within the telecom industry
Good understanding of telecommunication systems and Network Signaling testing in particular
Good communication and documentation skills
Excellent English skills, both verbal and in writing
High ability to work independently, take initiative and drive own work
Good social and networking skills to support teamwork in project
Well organized, structured and curious
You should enjoy working in a high paced international environment
Possibility to travel regularly
