We are now looking for a Physical Laboratory Engineer to play an important role in the R&D Laboratory within Physical Testing and Method Development. Your role
As a Physical Laboratory Engineer at Mölnlycke you provide projects, platforms and other customers with physical test data accompanied by documented analysis and statistical input. You will deliver in line with the R&D Laboratory Strategy and participate in activities to secure expertise within physical testing.
Responsibilities
• Ensure that physical tests are executed and that test analyses are delivered in a timely and efficient fashion to support business objectives.
• Represent, with high-quality and timely support, the physical testing discipline within the product development in terms of scientific advice, support and tests.
• Continuously strengthen the organization's knowledge and capabilities in physical testing.
• Educate and provide mentorship to colleagues within R&D organization regarding physical testing.
• Represent Laboratory Services in project teams to secure appropriate method selection and generation of factual based, updated and documented information and analysis.
• Plan, order, follow up execution and secure reports of tests to be performed by external laboratories.
• Take part in continuous improvement activities of test methods and laboratory equipment.
• Participate in the work to maintain the quality system in the laboratory.
Qualifications
• Relevant academic background with technical/material focus or equivalent working experience.
• Excellent test performance skills and equipment and method knowledge within physical testing.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience from working with cross disciplinary projects.
• Knowledgeable within regulatory demands.
• Knowledgeable within statistical analysis.
The person we are looking for enjoys laboratory work, has a scientific mindset and an eye for improvements. You are used to work independently in a group setting and to perform with high quality within deadlines.
