Situated in Älmhult in southern Sweden it is a state school with support from Ikea of Sweden for the teacher's professional development. The local area, which has a population of approx. 15 600, is peaceful and situated in an attractive area with nearby lakes and forests. The provincial town of Växjö is easily reached by either rail or road, as are other large cities in the region and the Continent.
The school was authorised for The International Baccalaureate's Primary Years Programme in May 2003 and for The Middle Years Programme in May 2009. The school is international and has a friendly atmosphere. The classes are small and all teaching is in English. We will be moving to newly renovated premises in August.

One position requires a qualification to teach PE including swimming. We are looking for energetic, positive staff members to join our international team, starting in the beginning of August.
KvalifikationerProfessional qualifications:
• A fully qualified after-school-care certificate is required (fritidspedagog).
• A teaching qualification in physical education for 11-16 year-olds, including swimming, is required for one position.
• Fluent English is required.
• Experience/ training in the IB is a merit and an interest to teach according to the programme essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a strong sense of integrity are a requirement.
Arbetstider och omfattningDeltid. 75-80% Tillsvidareanställning, tillträde: Starting on August 1st 2011. The positions are part-time 75-80% and permanent contract.
ErsättningMonthly salary. Individual salary.
