The International School of the Stockholm Region is a publically funded international school which exists primarily to serve the educational needs of the transient and/or international community of Stockholm. The school runs the International Baccalaureate's curricula. The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is offered to students from 5-11 years of age and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) is offered to students from 11-16. The schools language of instruction is English for all subjects. In addition, the IBO Diploma Programme is also offered through IB School South on the same campus. Thus with ISSR and IB School South our students can receive an internationally-recognized education in English from 5 to 19 years of age in one location in the center of Stockholm.
1 plats(er). Physical education (P.E.) instructor to work with the PYP and MYP programmes
This fall ISSR will need a physical education (P.E.) instructor to work with the PYP and MYP programmes with students between the ages of 5 and 13 years of age. The position is a combination teaching/after school care position with 80% being teaching and 20% in the after school care programme. Alternatively the position can be solely P.E. at 80%.
Reponsibilities include:
• Planning high quality lessons and ongoing documentation of student achievement
• Maintaining an engaging and organized learning environment
• Maintaining ongoing parent/school communication
• Organizing an intramural football club for PYP students
• Participating in school activities (assemblies, evening events, conferences, etc.)
• Supervising children during breaks as needed
• Planning with colleagues across the school
• Continued professional development
A qualified candidate will be:
• A university educated teacher with certification from either Sweden or a native English speaking country
• Native English speaker (or near native fluency)
• Highly competent with IT
Löneform: Månadslön.
Anställningsform: Tidsbegränsad.
Krav på arbetslivserfarenhet: Erfarenhet krävs. A qualified candidate will be:
• International and/or IB teaching experience
• IB teaching experience and/or training
Varaktighet: 6 månader eller längre. Möjlighet till tillsvidareanställning, beroende på behörighet.
Arbetstid: Dagtid. Heltid alt/ deltid
