Would you like to join an innovative and fast growing start-up and help us develop and improve our auction search service? We are looking for two skilled PHP experts to join our development team.

About Barnebys
Barnebys is the leading search service for quality auctions. We are the first player to bring together a quality salesroom and online auctions in one easy-to-use website. With access to everything from fine arts to affordable treasures for homes, consumers are sure to find the extra special item they are looking for.
Barnebys was founded in 2011, initially targeting the Scandinavian market. Today we are fourteen employees in two offices, London and Stockholm. We are covering all mayor auction houses in Scandinavia and UK and we are expanding to US and Germany within short. Backed by venture capital we are currently searching 100 000 unique items per day and we have 400 000 monthly visitors on our site.

Your Role
Currently our tech department consists of our CTO, two PHP developers working on the next version of our platform and one PHP developer who is modifying and improving our web scraper. Now we intend to double up! You will join the dev team located in our Stockholm office on Kaptensgatan, Östermalm. You will work in close cooperation with skilled colleagues to further improve our current platform as well as developing a completely new version.

What we expect from you
We value your programming and problem solving skills as well as your personality. We expect that you are open-minded and like teamwork. You pay attention to details and you are good at organising your work. You are fluent in English and if you speak Swedish it is a bonus.

From a technical perspective we expect that you:
• Are an expert with thorough experience with the LAMP stack. We use Ubuntu Server 13.10, Apache 2.4.6, MySQL 5.5.34 and PHP 5.5.3.
• Are highly skilled with Node.js.
• Have solid understanding of Sphinx and web scraping.
• Experience with Amazon EC2 is a bonus but not a requirement.
