Job assignments
Lund University offers a vacant research position on ultra-low power digital circuit design. Power optimization techniques, from architectural down to transistor/layout level, for ultra-low voltage circuits (ULV) will be investigated. The main focus of the project will be on digital full custom design, investigation of reliability and energy efficiency in the near-threshold region, as well as modeling of circuits in 65 nm and below. The PhD student will be employed in the project "Design strategies for digital ultra-low energy circuits", financed by Vetenskapsrådet. The position is full-time, which includes 15% department work, mainly teaching.

Eligibility/Entry Requirements
Master of Science in System-on-Chip, Computer Science and Engineering, Physics or equivalent. The position is intended to be filled for a doctoral education in circuit design.
Basis of Assessment
Following criteria will be considered for evaluation of candidates: grades, self-dependent work (master thesis), main courses in the area of system-on-chip design, as well as oral presentation at the interview. Master thesis in related areas is of merit.
