1 PhD student in the research education subject: Chemistry
Structural characterization of carbohydrate polymers such as hyaluronic acid
The project aims to characterize the structure and study the biophysical properties of natural and modified carbohydrate polymers such as hyaluronic acid and derivatives using spectroscopic techniques such as NMR and mass spectrometry. The project work will be performed in close collaboration with Q-Med, a Galderma division. The student will be part of a research group studying biomolecules structure and interactions as well as metabonomics.
Qualifications
The applicants are expected to hold an Msc degree or equivalent in Chemistry or related subject. The student should have a strong interest for and general expertise in carbohydrate chemistry and spectroscopic methods. Experience from previous research in the field is a merit. Knowledge of statistical analysis is valuable. Excellent communication skills orally and writing are required, both in English and Swedish.

Selection among applicants meeting the requirements is made with reference to written application including curriculum vitae, copies of degrees and transcripts of academic records, one copy of the dissertation for masters or undergraduate degree, a list of at least two references familiar with the applicant's qualifications, certified knowledge of the English language and an interview.
