The School of Technology and Society is looking for a
PhD Student in Business Administration with specialization in organization och leadership

The PhD student will be connected to the multidisciplinary graduate school "Environment and Health" at the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology. The name of the research project is "Prerequisites of improvement work in healthcare". The aim is to investigate which factors that influence healthcare personnel to take an active part in improvement work, either as responsible for improvement work or as active receivers. Furthermore, the project will investigate which factors make healthcare personnel to remain passive to improvement work, which contributes to maintaining the old routines that the improvement work aims to change.
To be qualified to apply for the position you should have a Masters Degree in the fields of business administration with specialization in organization and leadership or other relevant subject or equivalent competence.
Additional criteria that will be considered in the selection process:
• Good ability to benefit from doctoral studies.
• Good ability to transfer research results to practice.
• Good ability to teach at university level.
• Good ability to cooperate and to work independently.
• Proficiency in written and verbal English.
Solely an applicant who is admitted to or is under admission to doctoral studies may be employed as a PhD Student. For admission as research student the applicant's ability to benefit from doctoral studies will be assessed.
The employment is a fixed-term employment for a maximum of five years. It is a full-time position. Work assignments consist of 80 % of PhD studies and 20 % of departmental work at the School of Technology and Society at the University of Skövde. Salary according to existing agreement.
