The Zeolite research group at LTU (The Zeolite research group at LTU (

The research is focused on developing new application for zeolites, and in particular zeolite films, the applications comprises; membranes, structured catalysts and adsorbents and sensors. Many of the projects currently running are linked to the production of renewable fuels and chemicals. The group is recognized as one of the leading groups in the world in this field.
We seek a PhD student in Chemical Technology for a project on measuring multicomponant adsorption of gases in zeolites using a novel technique developed in our laboratory. The project is a part of a larger research programme on the production of fuels and chemicals from renewable resources.
Requirements
The PhD candidate should have a Masters degree or equivalent within Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Science. Experience in the preparation of zeolites or in FTIR spectroscopy are considered advantageous. You should be a good team player and have an ability to take initiative and be able to be flexible to work. The project is financed by the Swedish Research Council.
