About the position
We are currently looking for a curious and self-motivated radio network performance evaluation expert to our BTS System Design group at our Kista office!
This person will, e.g., be evaluating analyzing the impacts of traffic growth in various radio network deployment scenarios, and will need a deep understanding of 3GPP-specific - as well as potential proprietary - feature implementations on antenna, base station- and radio network levels. The results of the work efforts will include: establishment and communication of road-maps in various contexts, definition of requirements of relevance for future product portfolios of base station platforms and modules as well as for future radio network solutions and RAN-deployment architectures.
Depending on the candidate?s background and experience, the position can also include participation in pre-study and pre-development activities as well as making cost/performance evaluations.
Qualifications and experience
To be successful in this role the candidate should have at least some 10 years experience from the wireless industry with a focus on radio network related performance evaluations and analysis. A deep familiarity with simulation tools - including experience of feature implementations and understanding of the various modeling aspects in such tools - is required. A deep understanding of mobile access standards of today and for the future is required.
A PhD or at least an MSc degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
Skills requirements
The candidate should have a high focus on delivering high quality work. Prior experience from international and multi-cultural work is preferred. As we are a global company the candidate must be able to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
Good communication, documentation and presentation skills.
The ability to develop innovative solutions and validate them.
Location
This is a permanent position at our R&D office in Kista, Stockholm, Sweden.
