As a Performance Controller within E.ON Climate & Renewables (EC&R), you will lead the performance controlling of the European Onshore wind business (EUON), provide insight and challenge and drive performance excellence to maximise business value.
You are a key player in developing the business within your area. You use your extensive controlling skills and high business understanding to enhance business performance when searching for financial excellence. You are an appreciated finance counterpart to the operational business and you are always on the move to find new ways to improve. Here's what you'll be doing
Managing the performance of EC&R's Onshore Wind activities in Poland with special country focus including regular as well as ad-hoc analysis of financial and operational business performance.
Providing business partner support to EC&R stakeholders; management reporting, business planning, forecasting, variance analysis and insightful commentary to help support decision making across the EC&R business and to support the delivery of business targets via the identification of trends, financial interpretation and analysis.
Provide expert guidance on financial matters to EC&R Operations site managers/supervisors, origination and development (O&D)/construction project managers and other budget holders.
Producing financial reports for the EC&R business for various stakeholders, covering their actual, planned and forecast performance.
Responsible for business planning (mid-term-planning, forecast).
Development and continuous improvement of planning and controlling tools, establishment of key finance processes including the standardisation and harmonisation of financial and operational KPIs.
Managing the Polish Onshore subsidiaries (shareholder meetings, supervision annual account process, service level agreements etc.)
Liaising with internal counterparties within EC&R and E.ON group (legal, tax, accounting, finance, risk management, operational teams)
Act as a finance business partner for internal and external stakeholders.
The role is in Malmö but you need to work across different countries and cultures with regular overseas travel. Coventry and Rome are also possible locations for the role.
To be successful in the role as Performance Controller it's important that you have very strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret data and information and present it in a clear and logical format. You have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to establish and nurture effective working relationships. You also have high business understanding, an ability to see the big picture combined with high planning and organizing capability and good knowledge of IFRS, SAP FI/CO/BI/BOPC and MS Office. Polish GAAP and other local tax and regulations are also important to be familiar with.
We expect you to have a university degree or equivalent within Economics, Finance or Business Administration. Fluent in Polish, German and English with experience from the energy sector is meriting.
