Perceived Quality Attribute Leader Geometry & Appearance
The department Dimensional Management is responsible to set aesthetical final demands, create and define design pre-requisites before start of part design in respect of positioning systems and geometrical tolerances. Also to simulate geometrical variation and describe expected fulfilment of geometrical requirements set on Complete Vehicle for function and aesthetic final demands. Dimensional Management is divided into Dimensional Engineering and Perceived Quality.
Perceived Quality Geometry & Appearance is responsible to set the aesthetical final demands and to follow up deviations during the project phases. Plans & performs attribute reviews and appearance quality evaluations. Participates in the work of optimizing split line positioning to minimize the effect of geometrical variation.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Set aesthetical final demands for Gap, Flush, Radii and Ball corners on complete Vehicle.
• Build knowledge regarding competitor set perceived quality level.
• Participate in the balancing of the final demands on complete vehicle and report consequences.
• Secure correct gap & flush value in design and engineering data
• Perform Perceived Quality Attribute Reviews
• Perform Perceived Quality Appearance quality reviews. (DPA[2])
• Report status of Perceived Quality to line organization & project management
• Deliver technical input to design on split line execution
• Support engineering in the development of robust solutions
Profile and Background
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of product development and manufacturing.
• Practical and theoretical knowledge within Perceived Quality area or equivalent knowledge/experience.
• Experience from automotive industry or equivalent.
• Experience of performing visualization of 3D data within the attribute area.
• Ability to find solutions to technical problems.
• Experience and ability to lead tasks.
• You have a cultural sensitivity, especially Asian - European culture
• English spoken and written.
