Right now, we are looking for an experienced People Development Coordinator to manage our learning events - you'll run everything from concept through completion and beyond. Joining our HR Employee Experience team, you get to be in the center of our organization, taking on a variety of exciting tasks while being part of a successful team. Welcome to our astonishing Sandvik-world!
Your mission
In this role, you handle all aspects of event planning for our learning events, nurture and build relationships with vendors, venues, internal stakeholders, and participants. You are managing creative and logistical aspects of all event planning and ensure to meet set deadlines and stay within budget. You also manage all data around learning events and other employee development initiatives, analyze and offer ideas for different ways of working and ensure simplified and successful processes.
Some of your other responsibilities include:
Coordinate with internal staff, colleagues, and vendors to establish the requirements for an event, and serve as liaison to participants, venue staff, Sandvik management and the Employee Experience team
Locate resources, visit potential sites, and lead pre-event meetings to help staff make decisions about events
Plan and facilitate logistics for all events, including contract negotiations, participant lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, security, catering, entertainment, transportation, equipment, decor, and marketing materials
Oversee employee learning experiences from conception through post-event review; analyze evaluation data, manage on-site preparations, production, and event breakdown; and ensure consistent, high-level service throughout all phases
Build and maintain a comprehensive list of industry contacts, vendors, and venues
Troubleshoot any issues that arise during an event
The location for this position is Stockholm and some travel may occur.
About you
This role requires solid experience in all aspects of event planning, including cost containment, venue scouting and equipment logistics. You have successful experience in organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple events and tasks simultaneously, and you are used to working in an environment with little direct supervision. You work unhindered in Office 365, SharePoint, Teams and Workday. As we run on a global scene, you need good verbal and written communication skills in English.
As a proactive, passionate and creative person, you are dedicated to providing a superb employee experience in everything you do. Your time management is on point, and so is your attention to detail and ability to keep calm when handling pressure. You have experience in building and maintaining positive work relationships combined with great organizational skills, and you will truly thrive if you enjoy multitasking and making sharp decisions on the go. Furthermore, you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and can work independently when managing the daily details, with no problem shifting to big picture thinking in order to ensure successful experiences in our learning and development environment.
