We are proud product owners for components, systems as well as complete powertrains. We are accountable for the lifecycle management of our products, from advanced engineering, through product development into the maintenance phase. The majority of our powertrain components are traditional combustion engines, after treatment systems, transmissions and axles however the importance of e-mobility components is growing every day.
We stand in front of significant challenges - where reducing transport emitted CO2 emissions is one of the biggest - and are now adapting to take this on by simplifying and empowering our organization and way of working. As an integrated part of this we have high expectations to reduce development lead-time and cost and driving innovation and employee engagement through our leaders leading technology and people.

Responsibilities / Main tasks
As the group manager you have the privilege to manage a team of high professionals in a truly global environment. The Materials Technology teams at GTT are serving Volvo Group and selected external customers in the field of applied metallic materials technology. We offer competence and development resources for product and process development. Materials Technology has a modern and very well-equipped laboratory for metallurgical analyses and for testing of materials properties. Our specialists work globally in the whole product lifecycle from advance engineering to maintenance.
You are expected to drive change and with the focus to create a group where we actively work to continuously improve and build knowledge.
In this role you are expected to contribute to and drive initiatives. You will also have the opportunity to influence processes and way of working in the Verification, Testing & Materials Technology management team.
The team consists of experts within the following main areas:
Cast Materials
Workshop and Sample Preparation
Electrical
After Treatment
