The role
The Patient Safety/ Medical Information Officer is responsible for practically managing medical information queries and pharmacovigilance tasks within the Nordic Baltic organisation. This includes managing enquires form physicians, pharmacies and patients and reporting any Adverse Events and forward potential issues when needed
Accountabilities
Handles adverse events/SAEs from the Nordic Baltic market
Responds to queries on pharmaceutical products from internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in the development and maintenance of systems and procedures
Assist in training of AE awareness within AZ Nordic
Provide Safety expertise to local teams if needed
Assist with for local QC work
Identify opportunities to improve processes
Tracks queries and responses through management information reports
Follow local trends and legislations
Backing up complaint officer
Contributes to the development of an effective team
Ensure personal competence development
Contributes to the overall development of the department and positive attitude towards working and developing
Active contribution to continuous improvements within the function
Assures tasks are of correct quality and in accordance with written procedures and current legal requirements and internal standards
Minimum experience
Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
Some experience form pharmacovigilance work or medical information work in pharmaceutical industry is an advantage
Excellent knowledge in English and at least one local language
Preferred experience/requirements
Preferably at least 2 years experience in pharmaceutical industry, preferably in either patient safety / medical information or other related functions such as Sales, Clinical Research or Regulatory Affairs
Good understanding for patient safety environment.
