The legal team consists of colleagues in Kista and in Nashville, US, but you will also work in close cooperation with our R&D teamsacross both Europe and the US.
The team is now recruiting a new Patent Manager.
Job description
As a Patent Manager you will handle the Permobil Group patent portfolio, which involves;receiving and evaluating invention disclosures,performing patentability searches,preparing cases for decision by the Patent Committee and effectuating the decisions, main point of contact with external counsel,participating in drafting and prosecution of patent applications, being responsible for IPfolio patent managementsystem. Other tasks will be:
• setting and implementing IP strategy and IPR management processes,
• performing FTO and clearance searches and advisingthe organization in R&D projects,
• monitoring competitor patents andaiding the R&D organization in interpreting the content
and scope of competitor applications,
• filing and handling oppositions,
• enforcing our own patent portfolio according to the IP strategy, and
• supporting the organization in other IP related questions, such as trademarks and design management.
Required background
We expect you to have at least 10years'experiencefrom working with patent management in industry or private practice. It is a merit if you haverelevant industry experience, preferably both from mechanics and software/electronics. You are used to work with developing a patent portfolio and patent function, and have the ability to put processes and structures in place. You are an authorized European Patent Attorney and you also have experience from US patent practice.
As our Patent Manager you need tohaveinternational experience and you are fluent in English.
