As the Scania IP Department works in close cooperation with the product development, this means that there is a great deal of patent-related activity.
As we have a vacancy we are strengthening our team with a Patent Information Specialist.
Today we are 17 Attorneys and Assistants at the Scania IP Department and our office is located at Scania Technical Centre in Södertälje. The commute from Stockholm is easy with our own commuter bus departing from Cityterminalen and Liljeholmen.
This is what we offer
The work involves an exciting combination of administrative and technically oriented tasks. Among other things, you will have customer responsibility for both our web-based patent database system and our competitor monitoring system. You are also responsible for follow-up statistics for the patent department's operations.
The tasks also include information retrieval and developing and operating the use of patent information for business analysis.
We offer you a versatile job in terms of all the technology that concerns the development of heavy vehicles and a constant development of skills. Since Scania is part of the VW Group you will potentially also represent Scania in patent information matters in development project we have within the VW Group.
Working part time on a distance has now become the new normal.
Your profile
We are looking for you who have experience of, and interest in, working with web-based database systems. You probably have a technical education at the university engineering level or are a university-educated informant with technical understanding. Accuracy and the ability to work methodically and structured are essential, as is an open attitude with a sense of service and willingness to cooperate. As we work hard to constantly improve the way we work, you must be open to new ideas. You must also be able to work independently and under your own responsibility.
You should have good communication skills and a very good knowledge of English as well as Swedish, in both speech and writing, preferably also German. Patent experience and knowledge in information retrieval are meritorious.
