RaySearch is looking for a fulltime Patent Engineer to be responsible for all patent related activities. The position is based at our modern head office in central Stockholm and entitles permanent work. Offer
We are recruiting a Patent Engineer to join the research department.
As a patent engineer at RaySearch you will have the main responsibility for all patent related activities, including:
Monitoring and analyzing competitors patents and filing oppositions when necessary.
Performing freedom-to-operate and patentability investigations.
Filing and prosecuting patent applications.
Guiding external patent counsel when needed.
As a patent engineer at RaySearch you will have a substantial influence on the patent related work, not only when it comes to routines and work procedures but also concerning short- and long-term strategies.
You will be a member of the research department and work closely together with researchers and developers while also supporting the legal department.
Qualifications
Requirements for this position:
M.Sc. in engineering physics, computer engineering, or the equivalent degree and competence. Good understanding of physics and mathematics is of value.
At least 5 years of relevant work experience, for example as patent attorney or patent examiner. Experience from working in-house with patents is considered an extra merit.
Experience from, or at least a specific interest in, computer-implemented inventions and patenting of such inventions (i.e. software patents).
Good English communication skills
While not required, being a qualified European Patent Attorney is a plus.
Personal Profile
As a person you should be independent, have a lot of initiative and be able to work in a structured manner.
