Unit description

To meet the demand of our growing patent licensing business, the IPR & Licensing is building for the future. In addition to securing freedom-of-action for Ericsson on the telecom market, substantial revenues are created through Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). Ericsson currently has some 45,000 granted patents and more than 100 patent-licensing agreements in place.

You can be part of the team that is responsible for protecting the IPR of Ericsson's innovative technologies and products. IPR and Licensing offers interesting career opportunities in this very challenging and exciting area.

Job Summary:

We are now looking for a Patent Assistant/Paralegal to assist the Patent Professionals in the Patent Organization. You will ensure that the administrative part of Patent Portfolio Management, i.e. filing and prosecuting patent applications, is performed in accordance with our internal policies and patent law. You will collaborate with Patent Professionals, Inventors, Patent Unit Managers, Outside Counsels / Law firms, Licensing department.


Responsibilities and tasks:

In this role you will handle:
• Filing of a patent application (First and further filing)
• Patent Prosecution and, docketing of terms and office actions,
• Patent Finance

Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

• Fluent English
• Minimum 3 years of experience on a similar position
• Patent Process knowledge
• Local Laws & Regulations Knowledge

Preferred Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

• Higher degree in Law, Administration or similar would be an advantage
• Knowledge Sharing & Collaboration Skills
• Coaching & Mentoring Skills
• Project Management Skills
• Change & Improvement Management Skills
