Product Innovation is a central part of UIQ Technology's product development. In order for UIQ technology to take full business advantage of such innovations we need to focus more on tracking and
describing innovations and register patents when applicable. A key role in this process is the Patent and Innovation Engineer that will drive this process. As a patent and innovation engineer you
will work with the ideas and innovation that will become part of the mobile phones of the future. You will see and process innovations in the areas of user-interfaces and mobile software. You will
work closely with engineers describing their innovations.
The Patent and Innovation Engineer, who will report directly to the CTO of UIQ Technology, will be based out of the Ronneby office but will also work with all sites.
Role Description
• Running patent and innovation audits and brainstorm sessions
• Driving the innovation pipeline/process forward towards company goals
• Support inventors in describing their innovations
• Provide training to staff
• Preparing draft patent applications
• Act as interface toward the patent offices and lawyers
• Improving and defining processes
• Manage budget
Skills and experience
• Able to drive own responsibility area in an independent way
• To be able to formulate and describe innovations in a clear way
• Excellent communicating skills
o Written English
o Presentation techniques
o Understanding technical innovations
• Good technical understanding of software solutions
• An suitable engineering degree
• In addition at least one of the following experiences
o Several years of experience of patent work
o Several years of experience of working on software development in the mobile industry
