Pierce is one of Europe's most successful online retailers and wee are growing rapidly. We are currently looking for a Buyer in Stockholm, Sweden. Would you like to be part of a dynamic Purchasing team in a company with close to 375 people, that sells across 18 European markets and manages suppliers around the globe, then this could be the role for you!
The Buyer is responsible for identifying and purchasing the right assortment that inspires our customers to buy. By utilising in-depth knowledge of the customer, competition, and trends, the Buyer will define the proper category plan to develop and grow it up.
We are looking for a structured sales man, commercially driven, entrepreneurial, high energy, who will own and develop our technical motocross parts range. Responsible for all commercial aspects of the category, including sales, profit, stock development and supplier relationships.
The key goals for this role include:
- Increase sales and profit
- Balance product availability against the desire to minimize stock value
- Create the best motocross parts assortment in the market, make Pierce the company of choice for your product range
Responsibilities include:
- Own and drive the specified product assortment
- Develop yearly category plans
- Expand assortment, sales and profit
- Manage existing suppliers and identify new supplier opportunities
- Negotiate supplier terms and conditions
- Conduct periodic supplier reviews
- Instigate and lead projects to develop new private label products
- Manage category performance with kpi's
- Bachelor level education with a strong interest in technology and/or motorcross
- Minimum of 2 year previous experience in purchasing or category management
- Solid understanding of how to market and sell product online, preferable from an ecommerce environment
- Excellent communication skills in English and preferably in Swedish
- General knowledge of MS Office and PIM and ERP systems
- Experiece in the motorcycle industry or having affinity with motorcycles would be a clear advantage
- Flexibility to adapt quickly in a fast paced, fast growing international and multi-cultural organization
- We expect you to be a team player, to live and breathe the Pierce values, to operate with a sense of urgency and to bring a real winners mentality
- As part of this role we expect you to travel internationally to attend fairs, events and supplier meetings
