UIQ Technology is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications.
About the position:
UIQ Technology works with partners all over the world, to ensure that the applications and technology that our customers need are created through a thriving eco-system. The purposes are to facilitate
the creation of mobile phones based on UIQ and to shorten the time to market for those phones.
We are now looking for someone who can strengthen our partner function within our Marketing team.
You will:
• Identify and contact companies in the mobile software industry whose solutions add value to UIQ, and evaluate their business proposition
• Establish, negotiate and sign new and strong partnership with key players in the mobile industry
• Continuously strengthen and maintain relationships with our UIQ partners
• Work together with mobile phone manufacturers and operators on partner related issues of the UIQ phone project
Education and knowledge:
• Hold an academic degree - minimum Bachelor level - in relevant areas such as Economy, Marketing, Computer Science or Engineering
• Be fluent in English in writing and speech. Swedish is not a requirement but we would like to see candidates with skills in more than one language
• Have a good understanding and overview of the UIQ platform is a plus
Personal skills and abilities:
• Have communication and negotiation skills
• Proactive and responsible
• Work in a structured way
• Outgoing and can handle/work with people
Experience:
• Have at least three years of work experience in relevant areas (mobile industry or software development industry)
• Have experience of doing business in an international environment is a plus
• Experiences in managing legal procedures is a plus
