The Innovation Lab in EVRY works experimental on how technologies can create new value for ourselves and our customers. By hiring young talents in our sprint program, we are challenged on the way we and our customers work, and what is required to survive in a highly competitive market. The Innovation Lab focus on emerging technologies like cognitive computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain, internet of things, banking as a platform (BaaP) etc. The interns deliver research, concepts and customer cases in sprint programs from 2-4 months.
The sprint program
The sprint is a paid, fulltime, four-month program (September - December). As an intern in the innovation lab, you will contribute to EVRY's thought leadership. Through whitepapers, concepts and customer cases, the Innovation Lab demonstrates how emerging technologies and industry trends are shaping the future. Such technologies and trends could be Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending, Cognitive computing, Machine Learning, Bank-as-a-Platform (BaaP), etc. Your role is to become the expert in your topic and share your analysis and predictions with EVRY and the rest of the world.
Qualifications
We are looking for researchers, analysts, designers and developers in the fields of business or technology. Hybrids with experience in more than one field is an advantage. Candidates will ideally have qualifications as follows for the various roles:
Lead/Concept Developer
• Ideally studying for or has completed a master's degree in IT, design, marketing or economics, with good results
• Leadership skills
• Good understanding of business and marketing
• Puts the user experience first
UX Designer with strong graphics skills
• Relevant bachelor's degree, ideally currently studying for a relevant master's
• Above-average eye for visual design, both in digital contexts and in print
• Knowledge of methods for gathering insight into target groups
• Confident at facilitating workshops using different methods
• Puts people first and ensures interaction via digital channels is easy to understand and user-friendly
Front-End Developer
• Relevant bachelor's degree, ideally currently studying for a relevant master's
• Committed to delivering high-quality user experience
• Experience with native apps, CSS, HTML and JavaScript
• Good knowledge of interaction design, universal design and user testing
Back-End Developer
• Relevant bachelor's degree, ideally currently studying for a relevant master's
• Good knowledge of Java
• Experience of developing APIs (REST) and integration with web services
• Experience of using GIT as a versioning tool
• Experience of noSQL and SQL databases
• Knowledge of nodeJS is an advantage
Personal skills
• You are a self-driven person who is comfortable working independently, but also have a good team spirit
• You have the ability to work well under pressure and deliver to deadlines.
• You contribute to a great working environment through initiating and attending social activities, spread enthusiasm for Your work, and inspire and assist your co-workers to thrive at work.
• Experience in Design Thinking is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Personal skills
• You are a self-driven person who is comfortable working independently, but also have a good team spirit
• You have the ability to work well under pressure and deliver to deadlines.
