About the Role
You will take a central role in shaping how new European packaging standards are developed and interpreted in relation to PPWR. In this assignment, you will work in an international environment at the intersection of regulation, standardisation, materials expertise, and business priorities within the packaging industry.
You will represent the organisation in key standardisation forums and help drive internal alignment so that decisions, positions, and actions are well prepared and grounded in both regulatory analysis and industry needs. The role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders, industry associations, and national and European standardisation bodies. Job DescriptionYou will represent the organisation as an expert in CEN work groups, primarily within CEN TC 261/SC 4/WG 10 and relevant sub-groups.
You will monitor and influence the development of PPWR-related standards and specifications in line with internal analysis and relevant industry directions.
You will coordinate internal alignment and analysis to prepare positions, input, and actions ahead of meetings in CEN work groups and industry associations.
You will drive and contribute to internal workstreams connected to PPWR, development activities, and corporate affairs.
You will collaborate with stakeholders across technical, regulatory, and business functions to turn complex regulatory developments into clear actions.
You will support planning, follow-up, risk management, and documentation in a fast-changing environment.
You may also contribute to industry association workstreams and other regulatory working groups when relevant.
RequirementsExperience from industrial standards development, interpretation of regulations, and the interaction between industry associations, national and international standardisation institutes, and legislators.
Deep knowledge of the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and a strong understanding of its implications for the packaging industry, goods producers, retailers, and recyclers in Europe.
Master's degree or similar in a relevant Science and/or Engineering field.
Knowledge and experience related to polymers and fibre materials.
Documented experience of agile project planning in a dynamic and changing environment, including risk management and documentation.
Strong stakeholder management, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Fluent written and spoken Swedish and English.
