Come join McNeil as a Packaging Development Engineer! We are offering a dynamic, innovative and challenging position where you will work with the Development of Packaging in an independent and global role. If you have a passion for Packaging and enjoy working with projects stretching from R&D to launch of a new product, this might be the role for you.
Main duties:
You will belong to a global Packaging Development team focused on OTC and Non Medicinal products in the EMEA region, mainly in the segments cough and cold, digestive health, non smoking and allergic care. Your work stretches from the development of a new product all the way through launching it, which makes this a role that interacts with a large part of the organization from R&D, to strategic sourcing, regulatory, manufacturing and marketing and design. You will have an active role in all of the development phases, leading packaging development, always being involved in several projects at the same time. Technical expertise in Packaging Development is your perspective and passion, and this gives you the chance to have a lot of impact in choices of type of packaging best suited, materials, suppliers and documentation. You will also get the chance to be Johnson and Johnsons voice at fairs in the field. You work closely in the global team, for e.g. focused on continuous improvement, but in your projects you are the leader from the Packaging Development standpoint. Your manager is based in France and in Helsingborg you will have two colleagues in the same field.
Qualifications:
We believe that to be successful and happy in the role, you have a minimum of a BSc degree within a relevant field such as for e.g. Mechanics and that you have worked at least three years in Packaging Development. This working experience has brought you strong knowledge technically in different kind of packaging and materials being used. We think that you have some experience in a global high matrix organization, which has made you fluent in the English language. Also that you have experience from a manufacturing company which has given you valuable insights in continuous improvement.
It is metorious if you have experience from Pharma/Drug development and/or the Med Tech Industry. It is also valuable if you have knowledge in the Swedish language.
Leading packaging development in an holistic way, requires a vast amount of agility and dedication. You like balancing between a role of technical expert and the leadership needed to drive your project in a complex environment and across different constraints involving multiple stakeholders. We see that you have strong leadership skills and that you are used to being an ambassador in a complex global organization were your contact points are many. With that said you have a strong interest in building work relationships and enjoy being the driver for packaging innovation and development being somewhat of an entrepreneur in a strongly regulated industry. Creativity, determination and proactivity are words that define your way of working.
