Tetra Pak Packaging Technology seeks to achieve cost-driven innovation by defining new concepts, scouting for partnerships, and applying new technology developments. Within Packaging Technology the section Package Development Competencies works with development of new packages and new package materials in the early development phases. Package Development Competencies are now looking for a Development Engineer focusing on simulation methods; i.e. Finite Element Analysis (FEA), applied in package development area. As Development Engineer you will work with development of new simulation methods and apply the methods in our packaging development projects.
The activities you will be involved in are diverse of nature, involving many physical disciplines (coupled or un-coupled, thermal or deformation, static or dynamic).
Other examples are: concept evaluation and concept optimization.
Drive simulation activities in the Package opening area, plane avtivities, performe simulation work, analyse and report results and proposals. In all work, robust design thinking is an important corner stone and the concept of World Class Engineering is strongly embedded in our work.
The successful candidate should have experiennce from:
Mechannical and termal Simulation in development.
Package Development and knowledge on simulations and material behavior for plastic and paper.
Experience on physcial methods to validate simulation methods.
Statistical knowledge and Manage Minitab.
Since your work will involve a lot of internal and external contacts it is important that you have good team-playing skills, good presentation skills, are result oriented and have good written and spoken English. You also have personal drive and are independent in the exploitation of the given task, taking initiatives and proposing solutions and actions.
The position is based in Lund and may require some travelling. The successful candidate has relevant experience from simulation work in product development and a Master of Science degree or higher education in mechanical engineering (or equivalent) with strong competence in the area of finite element and material modeling. Experience in model calibration and verification will be considered an advantage.
