About us
Within Volvo Cars the Solution Vehicle Tophathas the competence to deliver optimized, high quality and affordable design solutions as part of an attractive personalized consumer offer. We develop sustainable and safe Tophats to provide freedom in a changing society. The Solution Vehicle Tophat is responsible for development of the complete Tophat content distributed in the ARTs Interior Room, Seats and Safety, Exterior Front and Rear, Exterior systems and Interior Trim and Systems. There are also shared service teams with focus on Quality and Launch, Interior Surface Materials and the two attribute areas Product Ergonomics and Perceived Quality.
As a replacement for a team member leaving for new opportunities, we are now hiring an Outsourcing Project Manager to Vehicle Tophat.
What you'll do
In this role, you will deliver the bought services from a Vehicle Tophat perspective, and you will take lead for the Vehicle Tophat outsourcing strategy which are created in close collaboration with the line management teams. You will be in lead of the Vehicle Tophat Intake process, and you will coordinate the meeting where we handle additional requests to our organization.You will also have a central role regarding the way of working connected to our external collaboration processes in general.
• Consolidate need of competence as well as capacity for bought services within Vehicle Tophat.
• Evaluate, identify, and assess potential outsourcing companies.
• Run business review meetings with purpose to develop partnerships with well performing vendors.
• Lead the outsourcing strategy within Vehicle Tophat and also lead collaboration within R&D for outsourcing opportunities and supplier performance.
• Set up contracts, assignment specifications and administration of Vehicle Tophat outsourcing including offshoring.
• Support with business development and working methods for external collaboration
• Collaborate with procurement in sourcing activities for bought assignments.
What you'll bring
• You have B.Sc/M.Sc in Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience from purchasing/procurement area and are used to supplier management.
• Good understanding/knowledge from product development at Volvo Cars.
• You are progressive and have good communication skills.
• You have a strategic mindset and a good business understanding.
• Fluent in English.
