Your role
In this role you will support R&D by investigating future needs of military products and evaluate impact of new technologies, capabilities, and product concepts. Operational analysis at Saab implies that you work with computer models and software- doing research and analysis of complex scenarios including tactical simulation and wargaming. You will strive to make difficult problems easy to understand and to effectively communicate your results.
We offer you an opportunity to work and develop in e.g. the following areas:
* Operational Analysis/Mission Engineering
* Tactical simulations and modelling (including behavior models)
* Sensor theory and mathematic statistics
* Wargaming methodology development
* Analysis of customers' operational capabilities and challenges
Your profile
We believe that you are a person with a strong motivation and good analytical ability who like progress and problem solving. To thrive in this position, you enjoy working in teams and are comfortable in taking a leading role when needed. It feels natural for you to interact with customers, product managers, strategy, marketing and sales, and development engineers. We think you have a wide interest from technical depth and physics to the big picture where military systems interact. We also believe that you are curious, creative, and have a genuine interest in technology and its application.
Required skills:
* M.Sc in mathematics, physics, data science, electrical engineering, or equivalent
* Minimum 3 years' experience from relevant industry
* Hands on experience of programming and/or modelling
* Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, verbal and written
* Ability to balance the level of detail and identify all relevant factors in a given context
Desired skills:
* Military experience
* Graphics design
* Presentation skills
* Data visualization and communication
* Knowledge in Matlab and Python
* Statistical mathematics
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
