FIEDLER & LUNDGREN IS LOOKING FOR AN OPERATIONS SKILLS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER/ CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT COACH

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
Purpose:
Providing all Factory employees with access to continuous development of skills by providing training and development programs; providing support in talent and performance management processes; providing know-how in Learning & Development in Factory key-projects and in line with agreed regional strategy and local business need.
Context:
• Growing competition and market conditions for tobacco industry in EU call for increasingly higher skills and flexibility of our employees
• Person in this role should understand very well the context of industry and organization and balancing between priorities of various stakeholder groups
• The role operates as the part of the global / regional training and development environment as local responsible for operations skill development in Malmö Factory
Reports to: IWS Manager
Reporting Level: 2 direct reports

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
Operational / Business accountabilities:
Implements an Integrated Learning Strategy, aligned with the Global and Regional E&T strategy and in line with local business needs
Identifies, assess, and implement best learning and development practice methodologies
Implements and improves multi-skilling capacity within Malmö Operations
Drives soft, general, and technical trainings for all Factory employees, starting from TNA - training needs analysis through yearly and monthly training plan, training execution and evaluation of training effectiveness
Managing Factory training budget in cooperation with department budget holders and finance team
Regular reporting of training progress to Factory OLT and engaging key-stakeholders in development initiatives (e.g., Cell Managers), in cooperation with Learning & Development Executive
Creates and supports internal trainer structures (including Subject Matter Expert matrices) and its development
Coordinates the Autonomous Maintenance (AM) implementation
Provides AM training and coaching to production teams
Leadership accountabilities:
Acts as custodian, facilitator and ambassador for Learning and Development within Malmö Operations
Ensures an effective and efficient High-Performance Organization established through relevant education, trainings and ongoing coaching of trainers and staff in the field of learning
Supports the Role evaluation processes to identify the desired skillset, also manages skill measurement and evaluation procedures to define possible gaps
Provides leadership with insight into Regional and Local learning requirements and opportunities
Management accountabilities:
Managing training team: technical trainers, training coordinators and the administration of training systems
Develop and maintain key business engagement and needs analysis competencies within the organization to guarantee the ability to translate tendencies and developments into relevant learning initiatives
Supports the local implementation of the Integrated Work Systems (IWS) Education & Training pillar in close cooperation with the local and regional IWS organization
Ensures integration of all required learning and development processes
Ensures that methodologies towards the execution of Learning and Development affect business process optimization
Develop and implement assessment methodologies for accurate progress tracking and measurement
Providing support to managers in developing their teams (e.g., Team leaders in production)
Relationship accountabilities:
Build trust and establish authentic relationships through own behaviours and support actions to enhance relationships between entities
Manages expectations and demands for learning solutions and services to align with Global, Regional, and local Business strategies and priorities
Provides support and assistance to line managers in the process of monitoring the performance of employees (mid-year and end-of-year assessments)
Actively liaises with external training suppliers and partner agencies through direct reports
Innovation accountabilities:
Seeks and utilizes customer input in design of operational Learning and Development products and programs
Develops new training concepts, systems, and methods in line with global / regional training strategies
Leads/facilitates training programs (e.g., modular / component level programs) and workshops according to project / business needs or according to training calendar
To act as E&T pillar owner and to ensure the effective performance of E&T pillar team to be compliant to all the phase requirements
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
University degree
Knowledge of facilitating trainings and shaping the Learning & Development policy of an organization, including basic knowledge of psychology, coaching, capability models, and change management
General business knowledge
Processes under his / her lead (soft and technical training and development; performance and talent management; training & development related projects) are managed in line with global / regional strategies and local business needs.
Supporting departments in the execution of the training plan according to pre-defined needs. Verification of training effectiveness using tests, exams, satisfaction surveys, feedback from line managers and/ or Top Team, ability to perform independently after training (esp. technical)
High degree of autonomy while still being a team player
Excellent communication skills, stakeholder, and relationship-building skills, proactive and result-oriented
Stand firm
"Can do" and cheerful attitude with a flexible approach
