RISE Surface, Process and Formulation is searching for an Organic chemist with experience in chemical process development

Location: Södertälje

Do you have a degree organic chemistry? Do you have a couple of years' experience from e.g., organic synthesis, chemical process development, scale-up of chemical processes and manufacture of chemical entities in an industrial setting? You will be a part of an experienced team and have the opportunity to share your knowledge and experiences with dedicated co-workers as well as learning new skills.

About the position

We are looking for an organic chemist for a 6 month assignment. As an Organic chemist, you will perform research and development in various types of advanced chemical/pharmaceutical projects. You will have the possibility to work with hands-on laboratory work and potentially small-scale manufacture as well as with project documentation and reporting. Our clients core business is the design and development of chemical and pharmaceutical processes (many of which are GMP processes) from starting materials to finished product. The projects often include synthesis/route development, separation/purification, engineering aspects, modelling and scale up/verification.

Qualifications

The right candidate has an academic degree in organic chemistry/chemical engineering, or another relevant chemical science area. Preferably, you have a couple of years' experience from e.g., organic synthesis, chemical process development, scale-up of chemical processes and manufacture of chemical entities in an industrial setting. Previous experience of GMP and/or projects management is an extra merit.

You have documented experience, and enjoy, working hands-on both in the laboratory and in a manufacturing environment. You must speak and write English fluently. A good knowledge of Swedish is a clear advantage. To fit the role you are enthusiastic and ambitious. You are a curious, creative, and open minded person who's not afraid to take on responsibilities. Collaboration and team work comes naturally to you. The projects you will work with often require creative solutions and advanced problem solving that require multiple skills and interactions both within the organization as well as with external parties.
