General Information: The challenge: Do you want to perform order design of bushings and be part of a tight team working with electrical power in world class? Would you like to develop in your Order Design role - as well as develop the role itself? The position involves smaller or larger customer specific adjustments of the product, and also maintenance of our product portfolio.
You will work in ProE/WF4 supported by PDM-Link, and the product structure will be created in ERP_LN - the heart of our business. As Order Design Engineer, you will develop and maintain the product configurator PCF in ERP_LN. This entails adjustments of the ERP_LN structure to fit the sales tool CCP.
You will also maintain technical documentation, specify type tests, electrical calculations, technical customer support, smaller development projects and technical investigations.
The work in itself is independent, but we always collaborate to find the best possible solution to each task. In this position, you will have great opportunities to become a specialist within the field or to develop as manager.
The requirements: You hold, at least, a Bachelor's degree in Power Technology, Electrical Power, Machine Technology or have gained equivalent expertise through experience. It is desirable that you have experience from design within the industry, preferably within the power generation or power distribution sector. To be successful in this position, it is an advantage if you have high proficiency within ERP_LN and technical knowledge of bushings, electrical power and design in ProE. Other tools you should be familiar with are such as Mechanica, PDM-Link, Ace and MS Office. Another prerequisite to manage this position is excellent skills in Swedish and English alike. It is qualifying if you have previous experience from bushings or other high voltage products. You are a skilled system technician, with a high technical understanding. You are also interested in developing the ERP_LN structure.
As a person, you have drive and enjoy collaboration. You are also meticulous and "hands-on".
You will be part of ABB Components in Ludvika. We have manufactured transformer components like tap changers and bushings since the beginning of the 20th century and we are ABB's primary manufacturer of the products. The business unit is also responsible for research and development of these products and is located in Ludvika, ABB's world center for high voltage technology. We have seen an enormous development during the last decade and envision a positive future. The development of material is key for future solutions and gives us opportunities to create new concepts.
