Vattenfall IT is the internal provider of IT for the entire Vattenfall Group. Vattenfall IT is an international Staff Function that provides efficient and reliable IT-services and support. Vattenfall IT has around 1 400 employees spread across Vattenfall companies in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Poland and Sweden. Vattenfall IT Operations Supply - Database & Archiving is now looking to recruit a senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to Stockholm. In Vattenfall's DBA-team we are a total of 25 skilled IT-professionals located in three different European countries. We now need to strengthen our team of four persons in Stockholm. About the positionYour main focus will be the daily operations of our Oracle databases in the Stockholm Data Centre. You will also work cross-boarder with our Dutch and German colleagues in operations, as well as in support of development and infrastructure projects. QualificationsYou have a university education in IT/systems engineering, or similar experience gained. To be successful in this position you have at least three years of relevant work experience as an Oracle DBA, additional experience from working with Microsoft SQL Server is a bonus. You must be familiar with Oracle database design, monitoring, backup and recovery, security management, and so on - and you need to have very good skills in operating Oracle tools. Fluent English skills are a must since communication and documentation is done in English. In this role it is also important that you have a good understanding of what role IT has and can play to improve business operations.
