hela Sverige Tobii Tech's Platform R&D is expanding in every corner and we are now looking for even more optronics R&D engineers to keep up the development pace!
As an optronics R&D engineer in this fabolous team you will participate in research projects as well as design and develop eye tracking modules.
Platform R&D is the engineering department in Tobii Tech developing the core platforms for both internal and external customers. The platforms consist of Tobii custom made cameras, NIR illuminators and FW/SW that process images on chip or host and calculate signals such as eye position and gaze coordinates.
The role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be working in a large R&D organization with top talented and highly motivated individuals that will challenge you to continue to develop your skills.
Your days will be filled with
• Design and develop new illuminator and camera modules together with our suppliers
• Participate in research projects to develop new concepts and technologies.
• Support analysis of production quality.
• Develop new simulation tools.
• Build test-sets in our lab.
• Interact with other development teams.
Travelling to conferences and partners around the world is part of the job.

We are looking for someone who
• Has an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in engineering physics or equivalent.
• Has at least two years of work experience from product development related to optical components.
• Experience from sourcing from external partners is a merit.
• Has experience in technical leadership
We find it to be a strong merit if you have experience in using Matlab. Knowledge in ray-tracing programs and test and measurement programs such as LabView is also regarded. If you have any patents or research papers it is also highly appreciated!
To be successful in this role and at Tobii, we think that you are motivated by bringing new ideas into full production. We also expect you to have good communication skills.
